Nemonix ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Nemonix application and website.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, including your name, email address, and any financial data you choose to enter into the application such as bills, income, debts, and expenses.
When you connect your bank account through Plaid, we receive read-only access to your account balances and transaction history. We do not receive your banking credentials. Plaid's privacy policy governs how Plaid handles your banking information.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Nemonix service
- To sync your financial data across your devices
- To send account-related communications such as password resets and confirmations
- To analyze usage patterns and improve the application
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted database storage with row-level security. This means your financial data is only accessible to you - no other user can view your information.
We use industry-standard encryption for all data in transit and at rest. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Elite Accounts - Employer and Employee Data
For Elite tier accounts, there is a strict separation between personal and work data. Your personal financial information (bills, income, personal debts, personal spending) is never visible to your employer. Only data you submit through the Work side of the application (work expenses, mileage, reimbursement requests) is shared with your company administrator.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings menu in the application. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Plaid - for bank account connectivity. Plaid's Privacy Policy
- Supabase - for database and authentication services
- Google - for optional Google sign-in authentication
- Netlify - for application hosting
Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time. You can export all your data in JSON format through Settings. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@nemonix.app.
Children's Privacy
Nemonix is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a notice in the application.
